Most commercial property policies exclude loss due to equipment breakdown. Equipment breakdown coverage, also known as boiler and machinery coverage, is needed to insure exposures for specified kinds of equipment. This course reviews the exposures arising from equipment breakdown and the options of providing insurance coverage. In addition it addresses exposures that require inland marine coverages as opposed to traditional property exposures to avoid gaps.
