Craig Stanovich Receives Words of Wisdom Award at the 2023 IRMI Construction Risk Conference  

Dallas, TX, November 13, 2023—Craig Stanovich, cofounder and principal of Austin & Stanovich Risk Managers, LLC, was honored today with the presentation of the 2023 IRMI Words of Wisdom (WOW) Award at the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI), Construction Risk Conference (CRC). 

The award is presented annually to a speaker who consistently lands in the top tier of attendee speaker evaluations at IRMI CRC, an annual Conference for construction risk management and insurance professionals. Mr. Stanovich has been a long-time attendee favorite on the IRMI CRC program, sharing his practical, in-depth expertise in areas such as construction, real estate, and transportation risk management and insurance.   

With over 44 years of experience in the risk and insurance industry, including 5 years as an underwriter for a national insurer and 15 years as an executive for a regional insurance broker, Mr. Stanovich specializes in most aspects of commercial insurance. He is a regular contributor to various international, national, and local publications and has served as an Expert Commentator for IRMI on the topic of general liability since 2002. He continues to provide litigation support to the legal community as an expert witness or consultant in cases involving insurance custom and practice as well as complex insurance coverage issues.  

Mr. Stanovich has served as president of the Central Massachusetts Chapter of the CPCU Society and as past chairman of the Board of Governors of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors in Austin, Texas. He is also a national faculty member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors and speaks throughout the country on various commercial insurance topics.  He holds the Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) professional designations. He is a Licensed Insurance Advisor Adviser in Massachusetts and also holds a producer's producer’s license in a number of states.
