IRMI Construction Risk Conference Celebrates Silver Anniversary
Dallas, TX, May 2, 2005—The IRMI Construction Risk Conference will celebrate 25 Years of Innovation November 7-10, 2005, in Las Vegas. The Conference is the only national symposium devoted exclusively to construction insurance, risk management, loss control, and bonding. The 3½-day program is designed for construction industry risk management and financial officers, construction project owners, and the insurance and surety agents, brokers, advisers, attorneys, and underwriters who serve them.
The IRMI Construction Risk Conference features new content each year in more than 25 workshops by insurance, safety, legal, and bonding experts from across the United States. Some of the topics to be explored include: Additional Insured Coverage Issues, Builders Risk Claims, Construction Defect Coverage and Mitigation, Risk Management for Condominium Projects, Allocating Project Risk and Insurance Costs, Design-Build Risks and Professional Liability Insurance, Contractor Default Claims, Contract Surety Relationships; OCIP Liability Claims; Protective Liability Insurance; and Construction Contract Negotiation.
The Conference begins Monday, November 7, with optional full- and half-day workshops conducted. This year’s half-day workshop topics (each attendee can sign up for two) are Anatomy of a Successful Wrap-Up; Examination of Builders Risk Claims; Defining Risk and Responsibilities in Construction Contracts; and The Changing Face of Additional Insured Coverage. A full-day workshop, Introduction to Construction Bonds and Insurance, is also available for those who are new to construction risk and insurance or those interested in a refresher course on the basics of construction risk management.
Attendees have the option of registering for the entire program Monday through Thursday noon (Early Bird fee is $1,295) or Tuesday through Thursday noon (Early Bird at $1,195). Contractors and project owners attending for the first time qualify for a special first-timers’ half-price registration fee of $648.
