IRMI Releases 16th Edition of the Classification Cross-Reference
Dallas, TX, May 15, 2012—International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI), releases the 16th edition of the Classification Cross-Reference in response to significant changes in a number of databases, including the ISO CGL and NCCI workers compensation classifications. The 16th edition is the first resource to include the 2012 edition of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), developed by the United States Census Bureau.
The Classification Cross-Reference provides comprehensive tables that allow the user to start with one known piece of classification information and immediately find the corresponding CGL, NAICS, NCCI, SIC, and state-specific codes all in one spot.
"There have been so many classification changes in several of the databases, especially over the last 12 months, that we felt a new edition was warranted to help the industry avoid serious classification errors," said the author and IRMI senior research analyst, Maureen McLendon, CPCU, ARM, CRIS.
