Benjamin A. Whitehouse, ACI

Mr. Whitehouse is a partner with the Butler Snow LLP law firm and is based in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Whitehouse is a member of Butler Snow's Regulatory and Government Relations practice group focusing on captive insurance and tax matters. He currently serves as the chair of the American Bar Association Business Law Section's Captive Insurance Committee. He also serves as a course instructor for the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE), teaching the Business Ethics in the Captive Insurance Industry and Government Relations courses. He also serves as the captive insurance consultant to the Insurance Board of the Federated States of Micronesia. Previously, Mr. Whitehouse served as the attorney for the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance's Captive Insurance Section and as the board president for ICCIE, and proudly served in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps. In addition to his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, he holds a master of laws degree in taxation from the Boston University School of Law.
