Bonnie Boone

Bonnita (Bonnie) Boone is a seasoned insurance executive, broker, and consultant with over 40 years of experience in some of the industry's most prestigious firms. She is the principal and founder of a consulting firm launching in 2025, focused on delivering innovative strategies for clients and careers in product development, market analysis, and emerging risks.
Her knowledge base includes captives and reinsurance for manufacturing risk, financial institutions, public entities, biotech, physicians, hospitals, academic medical centers, long-term care, and managed care.
Formerly a J.P. West, Inc., of New York and Chicago executive vice president, Ms. Boone worked with leadership to develop markets, operational processes, sales/growth, and overall corporate strategy. Prior to that, she worked for Gallagher as an executive vice president, producer, and client executive. She also cochaired the diversity and inclusion effort for the Gallagher Midwest Region.
In 2017, she worked for Marsh NYC as a senior vice president, where she sat on the national executive committee for its healthcare practice. She brokered and serviced some of the largest healthcare systems in the country. This was her second tenure with Marsh. Prior to that, she was with Alliant Insurances Services, where she oversaw healthcare and casualty for the Chicago and New York offices. She was one of the first brokers to include directors and officers liability and cyber liability in an offshore captive. She also held a national position with Willis (senior vice president) for more than a decade and worked with 280 retail offices on a global basis to produce business, market, and set strategy for the healthcare industry and casualty business. She chaired product line/industry segments for long-term care, managed care, and healthcare professional liability (integrated delivery systems), among others. She has placed reinsurance for some of the largest captive programs in the country.
Additional experience includes managing an underwriting staff and a book of business for Continental Insurance Company with a premium volume of $103 million.
She is an author and speaker/lecturer on many industry subjects (Temple University, IRMI, RIMS, American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, and IMAC Medical Group) and is a founder of a networking group for women of color in the commercial insurance industry. Ms. Boone sits on the board of the Women to Watch Foundation, the New York Association of Healthcare Risk Managers, and the National African American Insurance Association Foundation.
