Daniel D. Waldorf


Mr. Waldorf is author of "How To Select a Professional Surety Agent." He is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in finance and has pursued postgraduate studies in law, insurance, economics, and management. Mr. Waldorf has more than 25 years of industry experience, including field office and home office surety underwriting and management responsibilities with Travelers Indemnity Company and Industrial Indemnity Company. He joined Alexander & Alexander in 1979 to head the Construction Industry Division of the Kansas City office, where he was responsible for a large volume of construction-related insurance and surety business. In 1986, he assumed project management responsibility in the Corporate Research & Development Department. His research work includes contract surety, financial guarantees, medical malpractice, risk retention groups, special hazard insurance, and strategic planning.

Mr. Waldorf is a past regional vice president of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP), past chairman of the AGC/NASBP Liaison Committee, and presently serves as director of the NASBP.
