Diana Eichfeld

Ms. Eichfeld underwrites professional and pollution policies for the construction industry nationwide. Previously, she was senior underwriter at Zurich, where she worked in both the environmental and construction divisions writing professional and pollution coverages. Prior to joining Zurich, Ms. Eichfeld was an assistant vice president at XL Insurance and a senior consultant with ECS Risk Control, Inc. Ms. Eichfeld has served the US Environmental Protection Agency as an instructor and a Superfund site investigator and she also managed leaking underground storage tank projects for the State of Minnesota. She is a member of and has served in a leadership position in the Associated General Contractors of America.

Ms. Eichfeld was the 2005 recipient of the IRMI Words of Wisdom (WOW) Award, which recognizes a speaker who has made an outstanding contribution to the construction and insurance industries by unselfishly sharing his or her risk and insurance expertise with exceptional delivery skills, presented at the 25th IRMI Construction Risk Conference.

Ms. Eichfeld's presentations at the IRMI Construction Risk Conference covered a variety of environmental topics, including the use of environmental safety regulations as a risk management tool, construction waste and the environment, contractors pollution liability insurance, and emerging environmental issues. In 1996, a specialized training program she developed for the construction industry was recognized by Risk and Insurance magazine as one of the top 10 risk management services.
