Ellen Shew Holland, ARM

Ms. Holland is the president of Strategic Risk Frameworks, an independent risk management consulting firm based in Dallas and is the higher education practice leader for Hanover Stone Partners, LLC, based in New York. She has over 2 decades of experience in managing risk for complex organizations, including as the associate vice president and chief risk officer (CRO) for Southern Methodist University and as the CRO for the Oregon University System, designing and implementing the self-insured program for seven public universities. Prior to Oregon, she was director at the University of Denver. She started in risk management at Georgetown University.

Ms. Holland has her master of science degree in finance from the University of Denver and her bachelor of science degree from Purdue University, where she also rowed crew. Her business focuses on applying risk techniques to various industries, including higher education, international mining, aviation, and nonprofit organizations.
