In addition to writing agribusiness insurance courses for IRMI, Dr. Ekstam is the managing director of the national agribusiness vertical at AssuredPartners. She began her career in 1992 at an independent agency, steadily developing expertise across every facet of agency operations. Driven by a genuine passion for agriculture, Dr. Ekstam's extensive knowledge spans a wide range of commercial agriculture businesses and farm operations, enabling her team to proactively address the unique exposures and risks of the industry while upholding integrity and quality. Today, she leverages her deep industry insight to drive strategic growth and innovation within the agribusiness sector. She earned a doctor of business administration (DBA) degree, and she holds the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations and the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS®) certification.
