Irene C. Warshauer

Attorney, Arbitrator, Mediator


Ms. Warshauer is an attorney, arbitrator and mediator New York. She contributed cases to IRMI's Insurance Case Finder in 2014. She is also a contributing author for IRMI's "D&O Commentary" in D&O MAPS.

Ms. Warshauer has represented policyholders in insurance coverage disputes and has had considerable success in obtaining coverage for both corporate and individual insureds. Her experience has involved many areas of insurance such as coverage for asbestos bodily injury and property damage, cleanup of environmental sites, business interruption, fidelity bond coverage, and directors and officers liability.

She is active in alternative dispute resolution and, since 1989, Ms. Warshauer has been a member of ADR panels for the CPR institute for Dispute Resolution. She is also a member of the arbitration panels of the NASD, NYSE, and AAA (commercial panel) and mediates for the NYSD and EEOC. She has written and lectured on a variety of insurance, ADR, and litigation management topics.

Ms. Warshauer is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of New York and before the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and American Bar Associations.

She received her bachelor of laws degree, cum laude, from Columbia Law School and a bachelor of arts degree, with distinction, from the University of Michigan.
