Jeff Wilson
Vice President of Farm and Ranch
Mr. Wilson is the vice president of farm and ranch for Liberty Mutual and State Auto Insurance Companies. He is responsible for the growth, profitability, service, product, and agency relationships of all farm lines. He oversees the operational units of both companies.
In 2021, it was announced that Liberty Mutual would be acquiring State Auto. That transaction combined the two companies' farm areas to create the fourth largest farm insurer by market share. The two companies service agents and clients in 41 states and have been one of the fastest growing insurers in the past few years.
Prior to joining State Auto in 2006, Mr. Wilson was the manager of the Farm and Commercial Departments at Indiana Farm Bureau (IFB) Insurance. He held several positions during his 10 years at IFB: personal lines underwriter, property and casualty specialist, and personal lines manager. He began his insurance career as an agent with Shelter Insurance in Muncie in 1995.
Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in business administration. He has obtained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and the Professional Farm Mutual Manager designations, as well as the IRMI Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS®) certification. He also operates a 105-acre grain farm in southeastern Indiana.
