Keith Kakacek wrote "Workers Compensation Nonsubscription." At the time of his death, he was president of Nitty-Gritty Solutions, Inc., in Dallas, Texas. The firm provides insurance, human resource, nonsubscription, and risk management consulting services to private and public sector clients. He is coauthor of The Petroleum Risk Management & Insurance Manual, Tax Aspects of Property and Casualty Risk Management, and Employers Guide to Self-Insuring Health Benefits. Mr. Kakacek delivered more than 300 presentations on risk management and insurance topics, including IRMI's Construction Risk Conference. He also was an expert on numerous insurance coverage, rating, and placement matters.
