Lars Powell, PhD
Chair of Insurance and Financial Services
Dr. Powell is the coauthor of "Basic Statistical Concepts." He is Whitbeck-Beyer Chair of Insurance and Financial Services at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He currently teaches courses in Principles of Insurance and Risk Management. Dr. Powell received a B.B.A. from the University of South Carolina and a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. He maintains memberships in several professional organizations including Risk Theory Society, American Risk and Insurance Association, Southern Risk and Insurance Association, and Western Risk and Insurance Association.
