Michael R. Boutot

Mr. Boutot was a member of the National Association of Insurance Litigation Management for 6 years and served on their Board of Advisors for 2 years. In July 2002, he became one of the originating founders of International Litigation Management Association (ILMA) and served as its president and chairman of the board. In 2008, Mr. Boutot was influential in orchestrating the merger between the ILMA and the Council on Ethical Billing. He served as the president of the CLM as well as chairman of the Board of Advisors until early 2009.
In May 2009, Mr. Boutot founded the Institute for Church Safety & Risk Management, L.L.C. (ICSARM). ICSARM is committed to assisting churches and para-church organizations in assessing their safety, security, insurance, litigation management, and risk management exposures.
With over 20 years of experience in the insurance claims industry, he has extensive experience in litigation management and the creation of litigation management standards and guidelines.
Mr. Boutot has served on several task forces and organizations for the purpose of standardizing litigation handling and legal billing guidelines. In 1998, he was recognized in Who's Who of Professionals for his role in the development of a revolutionary concept to legal invoice and cost-containment called LEAMIS (Legal Expense, Audit & Management Information System). He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, American Bar Association, Risk and Insurance Management Society, the Trucking Industry Defense Association, the Association of Legal Administrators, and several other key organizations. He has published several articles relative to litigation and litigation management and is a regular speaker at various insurance and legal conferences across the country.
