Nick Lamparelli
Managing Partner
Mr. Lamparelli is a 25-year insurance professional. He is currently the managing partner of Insurance Nerds, which is a media, marketing, and community site for insurance professionals. He is also the CEO of The Insurance Advocacy Forum of Florida, an entity whose purpose is to promote and advocate for strong, stable regulations to attract global (re)insurance capacity to Florida.
Mr. Lamparelli started in brokerage, and 10 years into his insurance career, he discovered catastrophe modeling. Mr. Lamparelli has spent the past 16 years translating complex catastrophe statistics for insurance professionals and the media. He cofounded two managing general agents (MGAs), including a flood MGA that designed an entirely new algorithm and underwriting model for analyzing and underwriting flood exposures.
Mr. Lamparelli lives in Florida and enjoys strategizing about making insurance better and taking pictures of alligators hunting in his backyard retaining pond.
