President


Mr. Scislowski provides leadership and support for the Executive team and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the company. Prior to being named president in January 2025, he led the Production, Product Management, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales teams, and served as a liaison between the Content and Development teams. He began his career at IRMI as a research analyst on the Editorial team and is the former editor of Pollution Coverage Issues, coauthor of Commercial Liability Insurance, and a contributor to several other IRMI publications. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS®) and Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS®) certifications.

Prior to joining IRMI in March 2005, Mr. Scislowski was a coverage lawyer with Gallagher, Sharp, Fulton & Norman in Cleveland, a large insurance defense and coverage firm, where he specialized in litigating commercial and personal lines coverage disputes. Before that, he was with a litigation boutique firm where he regularly appeared in court to defend a wide variety of complex civil matters, including business torts, construction defects, workplace injuries, medical and legal malpractice, and insurance coverage. Mr. Scislowski began his career as a judicial clerk for the Ohio Court of Appeals for the 11th District, helping write over 250 opinions, including several construing insurance policy language.

Mr. Scislowski graduated magna cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law, serving as articles editor for the Akron Law Review.
