Steven D. Davis

Mr. Davis is responsible for negotiation, placement, servicing, and client presentations to the construction industry. He is recognized throughout the industry in program design and alternative risk financing methods, such as captive insurance companies. He is widely published in insurance and construction periodicals, such as Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), Engineering News-Record, Construction Business Owner, and Constructor Magazine.

He participates on the national construction risk management speaking circuit for organizations such as Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), CFMA, and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI). He was a contributing author for Construction Accounting Deskbook for a number of years, coauthored the National AGC’s publication titled Risk Management, Insurance & Bonding for the Construction Industry, and publishes a monthly section on Insurance and Risk Management for Construction Business Owner magazine.

Mr. Davis holds a bachelor of business administration degree in insurance and risk management from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as the Associate in Risk Management and Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designations. He currently serves on the National AGC Risk Management Committee and the Birmingham CFMA chapter.

Mr. Davis was the 1993 recipient of the IRMI Words of Wisdom (WOW) Award, presented at the 13th IRMI Construction Risk Conference.
