Mr. McIntyre, owner and chairman of the board, has been involved in commercial insurance and risk management for over 40 years and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) professional designations. He is chairman of American Contractors Insurance Group and a shareholder in American Risk Transfer Insurance Company, Ltd., a Bermuda-based captive reinsurance company. Mr. McIntyre is the founder of IRMI and originator of many of IRMI's research ideas and services.
Mr. McIntyre has written numerous articles on insurance and risk management for several
publications. He coauthored 101 Ways To Cut Your Business Insurance Costs without
Sacrificing Protection and serves as chairman of IRMI's annual Construction Insurance Conference. He is a technical adviser for IRMI's
online reference for contractors, Construction Risk Management, and was coauthor of the
original text.
Mr. McIntyre has been an active member of the Associated General Contractors of America. He currently serves on the Construction Financial Management Association's board of directors.
